One week as we left a village on our obnoxious big yellow bus, we were flagged down and stopped after just a few yards. An infant was handed onto the bus and into the arms of one of the girls.

"The baby hasn't been named yet. It needs a name, they want you to name the baby."

We laughed for a minute that someone had just handed their baby to group a of foreigners on a bus and took some pictures. But then we realized they were serious.

So we named an Indian baby.

Amanda Grace. Worthy of Love and Grace.

Things like that have happened a lot on the World Race.

A few days earlier we stopped on the side of the road on our way to a different village to talk with some people on the side of the road. They were a group of young girls carrying wood. One of them was a 15 year old girl who had gotten married the month before.

There was also a man there. I don't know if he had met the pastor before or was simply inspired by our words of encouragement to the girls, but he said that he would like to donate a plot of land for a church. He got the pastor's number and later called him to follow through. What if we hadn't stopped the bus?

And in Nepal on our last day in Kathmandu, Ada and I met a man. He was a vendor just like all the rest, selling hats and souveniers down a little alley. He asked us what we were doing which led to some questions about Christianity. Ada started talking to him about Jesus. He said that he always wanted to know about those things but that nobody ever had the time to tell him. He wanted to read about it and understand for himself, but He didn't have a Bible. After a few minutes I grabbed her arm and told him we would see him later. We returned to place a Nepali Bible in his hand in exchange for a look of surprise, excitement and a sincere promise that he would read it.

Divine Appointments.

Doing God's work is not hard. A lot of the time it just falls right in to your lap. All you have to do is let the Spirit lead and be ready with love and open eyes rather than selfishness, doubt or fear.

Pray for a divine appointments this week and see what God does.
