Last night I fell asleep to a cool breeze through my tent along with the rumble of thunder and the promise of rain. Muslim prayers, echoing through the entire country, trickled into my ears and dreams as I slept. This morning I woke up to the sound of monkeys chattering and arguing in trees of our backyard. I love my life in Malaysia.
We have been in Malaysia for about one week. Our first night we stayed at a hostel in Kuala Lumpur, which is my favorite city on the race so far. There is so much diversity, Muslim Malays, Chinese Buddhists, Indian Hindus, a few Africans, a few westerners, a group of lost Americans with really large back packs. The next day we took about a 10 hour bus ride north to the city of Changlun, about 8 kilometers from the Thailand border.
We are staying with a beautiful Indian family this month, Pastor Thomas, his wife Sharmila who cooks the most amazing food, and his three children, Zach, Misha and Felicia (Baby). There is always something going on, whether it be visitors, English classes or a constant call of "Aka, Ana! (Sister, Big brother!)" from the children.

Our ministry this month is really to live life with our family and to support them. They left their home one year ago in order answer to God's calling to live in this area. Three days a week we teach English class to some Indian children in the community and on Saturday we have a character building class for them, which mostly means playing games. We also lead fellowship/church service at the house a couple times a week. Whenever Pastor Thomas visits someone, a few of us tag along. There are several other exciting things we will be doing this month, but I will blog about them as they happen!

Finally, please pray! My final deadline is quickly approaching. As always I know God will provide, but as always it gets a little scary when the deadline approaches! I need $2987 by July 1st. God is growing, teaching and stretching me in such incredible ways. I know he has so much to show me and you, and so many lifes to touch through me and my team in the last five months of the race in Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania, Nepal and India. If you can help financially in any way, or know someone who can, that would be amazing. It blows me away how many people have helped and contributed. God is using you to touch the nations!
