This is Herman. This is my boy.

This is my little brother. I can't remember ever caring about another human being so much so quickly. He returned to the sixth grade three weeks ago and I would help him with his homework most days. He nicknamed me Rasta because of my dreadlocks and I'm not sure if the boys know my real name anymore. My favorite memories of this month are going on adventures in the city together, hanging out with his family in Los Pinos and listening to him talk about his past, his girl problems and his hopes and plans for the future.

There are so many amazing things I could tell you about how God is working in this boy's life and how He has had His protective hand over him through the struggles of his life. If it wasn't for God and Tony he would be an anonymous dead body in a ditch somewhere. Now his example and testimony are leading others in his community out of darkness. You can read more about his story here.

This is Louis. "Hola Lydia mi amor!" He asked me to be his girl the other night, but I had to tell him I was too old for him. He is the adopted son of Cassie, a girl who met him on the world race two years ago and has returned to live in Honduras. His mother had disowned him. Now he lives some nights with his grandmother and Cassie in Los Pinos and others with Tony on the property.

This is Ariel and Ronnie. They are brothers. Ariel is one of the sweetest boys I have ever met. He is always listening to music and he always has his arm around someone. Ronnie was living with Tony at the beginning of the month and started school with Herman but hated it so much that he left the property. Although he is living in Los Pinos right now and not going to school, he works on the property every week day and is very happy.

Ariel.

Ronnie.

This is Mario, Fernando and Carlos. Carlos and Fernando have the same Mom, but different fathers. Their Mom lives on a street corner and picks through trash for a living.

Carlos is loud and mischievious and a great tool for learning patience. He is also incredibly loving and is going to be an amazing leader.

Fernando is an aspiring cook and entrepreneur. Every week some of us would help him make cookies which he would then sell to us for about a 200% profit. He has a face that is impossible to be mad at and dances like Michael Jackson.

Mario is the newest boy on the property. He still has a bad reputation and still has a lot of bad habits, but we have seen a transformation in him over this month. He started school last Monday and soaks up all of the love that is shown him.
