Hola! So on Tuesday morning I flew to training camp where I met up with the rest of my squad, as well as C and D squad. Over a hundred people made their way to a local Romanian church which so graciously let us camp out in their sanctuary until Friday morning. As we prepared to launch, we had a few briefings, times of worship and several sessions where previous racers and AIM staff as well as the director of AIM, Seth Barnes, spoke wisdom and life into us.

Friday morning we left promptly at 4:30 am so that we could walk a mile to the bus station with all our gear, take a bus to the train station, take the train to the shuttle station and take the shuttle to the airport where we flew to El Salvador. After eventually getting through customs and squeezing 18 girls into a van and all our gear and the guys into a truck we eventually made it to San Vicente. We dropped of one off our teams in the city while my team and Team Happy Feet drove a little ways up the mountain to our house for the month in the village of Apastepeque. Yesterday we spent the day getting acclimated and getting ready for our ministry. Today we all piled into the back of a pickup truck to one of the local churches in the morning and to another service at the church that our other team is staying at.

Our accommodations are absolutely beautiful. We are staying in an unfurnished house belonging to the ministry we are working with which they just finished building. We have a kitchen, shower and regular toilet and enough space for two teams, our three squad leaders who are staying with us for now and our two ministry contacts, Victor and Sarah. It is so much nicer than any of us expected. Our ministry is going to be performing skits and evangelizing in local parks, churches and schools. I am really excited for this ministry opportunity and to see how God is going to use this work.

Thank you all again so much for your prayers! We start ministry in full force on Tuesday, so please pray for hearts to be prepared, divine appoints and the ability for us to do our best. God bless!
