Every time I sit down to write a blog about Africa I am flooded with a million different things to write about and I have no clue how to formulate a concise blog to encapsulate everything.
So new news: I am in Africa! Rwanda at the moment to be exact.
Also I have a brand new team! We are team Kwitanga! Kwitanga means to be all in and all passionate about what you are working one. My team and I want to live in this commitment these next three month and into when we get back into the States.
So this month has been amazing we are serving in Kigali with the most incredible host ever Pastor Moses. He is a man of many titles and the title of comedian he does not take lightly but lives fully in this role. We get to be blessed by His amazing family and friends living with him and the other in his home. This kids have become something I look forward to seeing coming home from school each day. I look forward to helping them with homework, watching an extreme amount of movies, and some of the cutest cuddles and hugs!
We are serving as English teachers in a kindergarten school ran by the church, and we are preaching each night at two alternating churches.
We are walking minimum of 3 miles a day, bucket showers, larva in my bed, cockroaches the size of a small child, and rats that we are not sure if they are not mutated humans.
I have not stepped out of the house if I have not been called Muzungu at a minimum of 20 times.
My physical touch tank is in constant overflow mode.
I got the experience to dance for my Rwandan name of Ingabire. Which means Divine one.
I got to go to a Rwandan vs. Morocco soccer game.
I get the opportunity to preach this month in two different churches.
I get to have potatoes for every meal. —Might just be my love language.
I get to dance literally everyday….usually more than one session.
I have got my hair braided by one of the girls here.
We got to help Moses son go back to school.
We get to experience some of the best coffee and tea that I have ever had.
I would not change a thing about Rwanda and my experience here.
I love Rwanda and all its many surprises that it brings with each and every day!
