Philippians 2:1-8 says,

Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, and then make my joy complete by being like-minded, have the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interest but each of you to the interest of the others. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:

Who, being in every nature God,

did not consider equality with God something to be used

                                   to his own advantage;

                rather, he made himself nothing

by taking the very nature of a servant,

                         being made in human likeness.

And being found in appearance as a man,

                          he humbled himself

                          by becoming obedient to death—

                                   even death on a cross!

Here at Transforma we are able to Worship and spend time with our Lord with the Women that are a part of this ministry. The other day, on our first day of ministry, we got the message of Philippians 2:1-8. How great is God that he would bless us with such a humble, selfless, servant’s heart message on month one, day one with a team that I myself know still so little about. It is so important for us to look at others as more superior to ourselves so that we keep ourselves humble. Whatever we have inside us will complete the rest of us. SOOOO much can come out of our team if we hold onto this message and submit to one another! So without further ado I present to you my lovely team!

Kelsey is our fierce leader. She has so much discernment for what God is calling her to do that it is so unreal. She has a beautiful voice to worship out to our God. She also has a laugh that will light up a room! I am so blessed to be able to work alongside of her this month! Check out her blog to get to know her more at http://kelseynerland.theworldrace.org/

Anna Beth has such a gentle, soft spirit about her that is very inviting. She is the quiet one in the room that when she speaks she speaks words of encouragement, joy, and clarity. She is the one that will have a smile on her face even when times seem dim. She is our Treasurer and praises for her! I cannot wait to get to know more about AB because I feel like there is so much that I can learn from her. Check out her blog to get to know her more at http://annabethlowrey.theworldrace.org/

Gracie has such a humor about her! I was so blessed to be able to meet Gracie even before training camp. From the beginning she has felt like a sister to me. She has connected to me in such a level that I hope everyone on my team is able to. She will be such a blessing to our team through prayer and evangelism. Check out her blog to get to know her more at http://graciefueston.theworldrace.org/

Sarah has such a confidence about her. She speaks with such depth, knowledge, and insight into situations that I would look at in a different perspective. She is out Logistics leader and praise the Lord for the hard work that she puts in for this. Her hard work, determination, and strength that I see is amazing. She is going to be able to speak so much life into me this year! Check out her blog to get to know her more at http://sarahweatherford.theworldrace.org/index.asp?filename=bio

Jenny has such a powerful voice. She is a leader that doesn’t have to speak many words but her voice draws people in that want to listen to her speak. She has so much ability and worth within this group. She has such a beauty about her as well. She is going to be such a shoulder to lean on throughout our time together. These beautiful sisters in Christ are who I have a blessing to work with for the next year. (Lord willing—there are no team changes). So we are the SOUL Sisters. We came up with this because we felt that we were being lead into a sisterhood by God. We created SOUL to mean Sisters. Of. Universal. Love. Our Team mission is summed up by Ruth1:16

But Ruth replied, “Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord deal with me, be it ever so severely, if even death separates you and me.

I have struggled from the beginning with the lies that Satan is feeding me and I know that my weak point where he can easily get a stronghold is my insecurities, my ability, and my own doubts of self-worth. The affirmation of my team speaking goodness into me has really helped me fight the fight. I know that there is so much more for me on this trip! I know there is so much that I can overcome! I know that I wouldn’t be here, in Costa Rica, with team SOUL Sisters if this wasn’t God’s plan for me.

1 Samuel 16:17 says:

But the lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance but the Lord looks at the heart.”

Next Week:you will get the much anticipated blog about what all God has us doing!! It is insanely crazy and I am so blessed to have such a role in changing lives right before my eyes!

Fundraising!!

Also I am $14,108 funded!! This is roughly 80% of the way! WOW Guys! This blows my mind to think that a year ago I was looking at $16,561 and thinking there is no way. Flash forward to today and I only have $2,453 still to go! My next fundraising deadline is November 13th. Clearly I have already passed this but I fully believe that I can be fully funded by then!! Let’s make this happen through prayers and donations!
