Greetings from Rwanda, friends and family!
Thank you all for continually praying for me, team Parresia and for safe travels. As we’ve been currently spending this last week in Rwanda for debrief, I have been able to find some time to reflect back on the month and all that God has done through our team and all that He is currently working in me. As much as I would love to share all my months experience, I’d like to take this time instead to give a big shout out to all my supporters. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH! If it weren’t for the amazing and loving community that God has blessed me with, I wouldn’t be here (in Africa) expressing my gratitude for the support to tell you that you have all helped me be FULLY FUNDED by mid September!
There is no doubt that God was through it all. Through the moments when I knew in my heart that I was meant to be on the race and those moments that I questioned it over and over again. He was there in the first month (December) when I was first accepted. He was even there when an anonymous donor gave $3,000 within my first month of fundraising and I still questioned His calling months later. Whether I questioned His calling or my ability to do the Race, there is no doubt that this is the path the Lord has paved for me. I am doing this thang!
So, THANK YOU all from the bottom of my heart for your support! Thank you for believing in this journey that God currently has me on. Thank you for donating into a life of living out of my comfort to serve and love on others. Thank you for believing in me enough to give into something greater than myself! Thank you for giving so that we can all further God’s Kingdom. I know words are not enough to express my gratitude to all my monthly supporters, my one-time donors, and those in between. If possible, I would love to squeeze each and every one of you!
As I continue onto this journey, if you feel led to continue to support me, please feel free to contact me as I have teammates and squadmates that are still in need of financial support. Thank you for your heart to give into a journey that not only will change our lives but one that will make an impact into those life’s we come into contact with.
NOTE: I will soon be posting a new blog on my month in Uganda and the amazing opportunity my team and I had to serve at the Suubi House.
