Before your mind wanders onto all the wonderful things you saw on Pinterest that involve how to make pots from reclaimed mason jars, please read the next 5 paragraphs. (Fret not, I’m dyslexic so I’m fond of super short blog posts.)
I need you to go click on the button that says ‘support me’ in the top right corner of my blog and donate some dollars then give yourself a high five for being awesome.
Yesterday my friend Phil called to offer me some encouragement. I was honored he took the time to do that. I might have even started sweating from my eyes a little bit.
He told me the story found in 2 Kings about the widow who is left with a copious amount of debt when her husband dies. She goes to the prophet Elisha and asks what she should do. Elisha asks her what she has and she explains that she only has a single jar of oil. Then he tells her to get her sons and go to all the neighbors’ houses and ask them for empty pots. He tells her to make sure they don’t collect too few. When the sons return with the pots they beginto fill them from the single jar of oil. This continues until the widow asks for another pot and the sons tell her they’re out of empty pots.
Phil pointed me to this scripture to explain that I don’t need to worry about getting all the money I need to go on this trip. He encouraged me to ask you as my neighbors for help. And, to trust that The Lord will supernaturally provide in the same way that He miraculously provided oil.
Thanks for praying and clicking,
Luke
