I’d like to announce my first official
fundraiser! It’s called Books and
Bracelets! A really creative title, I know. As you can probably guess, I
will be selling books and bracelets to raise money for the World Race. If you
are interested in buying please contact me! Or if you want to help me sell them
to your friends/family/coworkers/church that would be extremely helpful too!
You don’t even have to be in Saint Louis or Florida.
Books: $11 for students, $15 for everyone else
Kingdom Journeys is
written by Seth Barnes and is about the important role that a physical journey can
play in one’s spiritual journey. Seth Barnes is the founder of Adventures in
Missions, the organization that runs the World Race, and he is providing World
Racers with his books at a discount so we can use them to fundraise. Pretty
cool! This book really resonates with me and explains some of the reasons why I’m
going on the World Race, so I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves to
travel or wants to learn more about missions. Read more about it on Amazon.
Bracelets: $2 for everyone
These bracelets were made by women in the
Philippines and are sold through an organization called Threads of Hope. One
dollar from every purchase goes back to the organization to support these women
and their families. Each bracelet is handmade and no two are the same! The
colors are absolutely stunning and there is such a wide variety that there is
something for everyone (even the guys J ).
I am so excited to be selling these books and
bracelets! Both are directly related to the World Race and I hope you’ll
consider buying or helping me sell.
