I’m A Believer
Life can throw you into a whirlwind love, life of success, ditch of despair, or extreme poverty. No matter what, this life is unpredictable and random. However, there is one thing that my heart rests peacefully in – I’m a believer in Christ.

As I type to you from my 15hr flight to China (connecting flight to Thailand) with swollen toes, feet, and now cankles, God reminds me why I’m here. Not just on this flight, but on this Earth (which is bigger than any map could try to portray-get on a plane. You’ll realize how big and wide it truly is!). Each of my emotions have been touched today; I’ve cried and laughed and worried. I’ve left family, friends, love, pets, comfort, and life as I’ve known it behind to be part of a nomadic life in which God leads daily.

It wasn’t easy to leave all of that behind, but God so generously and graciously reminds me that I’m a believer in Christ. While that can mean I embark on trips like these which appears crazy to people around me, I get to rest in the fact that He’s got hold of me. He knows best. And I’m His disciple. Being a believer provides me with a kind of family, friend, love, and comfort that is never-ending.

God gives me shelter and strength when I don’t/won’t have any. He will reac. h out to my heart and comfort me in the tough times. I’ll have to constantly remember that He alone is strong enough to hold me in each and every moment. He never leaves me nor forsakes me! So when life throws me all the curveballs that so many of us know all too well, I’ll rest in the fact that I’m a believer. That’s the only thing that truly matters because that’s what is going to get me through each and every day out here.

Remember – just breathe. God’s got you. No matter what you may be going through or dealing with, He’s always there to run back to, to watch over you, to talk to, to protect you, to hold you. He’s waiting – will you try to continue to do life on your own? Or will you live life leaning on/ following after Christ? I’m a believer – I choose Christ.
