So many of you have faithfully followed my World Race journey from the beginning when I initially signed up to even now when I have been off the field for a few months. Through this blog I have been able to share my experiences with you in the way that my heart speaks most freely: through stories and lessons learned. Thank you for laughing and crying with me. Thank you for following me through dirt road villages, rocky coastlines, humid jungles, and snowcapped mountains. Thank you for making it all possible by your financial support and uplifting prayers.

But most of all thank you for simply reading. Out of all the life changing experiences I had over my World Race journey, the opportunity for God to reveal my voice through writing has been one I will treasure.

Early on in this adventure God planted the love and desire to write deep within my heart. It didn’t always come easily…there were times of ample words to share, spilling out of my mind and onto the page. Then there were times of a thoughtless wasteland, the cursor blinking at the start of an empty page. I struggled with glorifying myself over God, and it hurt when a story I was so excited about was barely received.

Throughout all of it though, God spoke to me. He has worked in quiet, simple ways that have only revealed to me more of His love. He has continually placed people in my life who not only believe in me, but continue to believe for me when I have ceased believing in myself.

Because of God and these people, and because of you friend, I will shortly start a new journey on a new blog called Grace to be Free. The heart behind this is that because of God’s grace in my life I am free. Free from the bonds of sin and the past. Free to commune with Him. And free to be, act, try, fail, succeed…everything.

I hope that you will continue to follow my journey with God over on Grace to be Free. While the main focus will be to encourage women, I’d like to think that the message is for everyone- God’s grace has set you free!

Be looking out for the launch of the site, but in the meantime you can join me in this prayer:

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for giving me a voice. I ask that as I move forward with writing all of the glory and honor stays always on you and not myself. Whether ten or ten thousand people read along, I trust that the message you have given me reaches those you intend to hear it. May GRace to be Free be used as a doorway for your love.

Amen
