So last night I had a minor freak out moment. I did a budget yesterday, which kinda scared me, and kept thinking about all the things I need to do. It was a little overwhelming. So I was laying in bed and I just thought that God is taking care of it. I don't need to worry, I don't need to stress. God is here. I was laying there and I made a list of all the things that God is. Here is the list I came up with (as much as I remember anyway):

compassion
love
mercy
gracious
shepherd
rock
strength
truth

Then today I was in class and the guest speaker we had said something that moved me. She said that there are things in life that we are created to do. She said we know we are created to do them because we feel it giving God pleasure when we do them.

Despite our fears and doubts, we are created to glorify our maker. We are here to work for God and to serve him. It is God that I strive to give pleasure to, through my work, through my words, and through my actions. There is nothing that can stop us from doing what we are created to do. Our fears are nothing in comparison to the mighty acts and the mighty power of our God.

So last night when I was laying in bed, I prayed a really simple prayer. I said these words.

God, let me rest in you.

So that is my prayer today, tomorrow, and for the rest of the year. It is my prayer for all my friends looking for jobs and grad schools, and for my squad. God, let us rest in you.
