I'm Liz. I'm a 22-year-old woman who just graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point with a degree in Communication and Sociology. After finishing a Sales internship this past summer, it helped me realize I am NOT ready to settle down and start the normal, typical career just yet. Something I've always had a hard time doing is anything routine. I love change and I love the thrill of risk-taking and adventure, hence why the World Race is a perfect opportunity for me to take!

I hate talking about myself or sharing what I think my personality is like, so I thought I'd share what others have said to me. This paragraph includes phrases/words that other people have described me to be over the years:

"Liz has this rare fire in her spirit, something that is needed because we don't have many people like that."
"Liz has the biggest passions in life to serve the Lord with all her heart and to sacrifice everything to love on people she's never met. Her heart aches for those around the world; she's very empathetic."
"So full of life, joy, hilarity and tons of encouragement; Liz has a zealous spirit."
"Liz is committed and determined in life to accomplish anything she sets her mind to. She has a lot of intelligence and so many whacky ideas that will someday come alive."
"She is a leader and has a boldness in her that is someday going to be used for something great!"
"Passionate, caring, can make anyone laugh and anyone's day brighter. She always has something funny to say and holds the best conversations with even complete strangers. And let's face it…she's so weird, and we love it!"
"Liz is meant for great things. Not just the average, ordinary things in life like going to school, starting a family and doing a career, but the Lord has placed a special calling on her life. She is going to be a voice for those who don't have one, the tears for those who aren't seen, and someone who will conquer anything by God's strength."

So yea….my friends said a lot of nice things about me. Thanks you guys! More than anything, I want others to know that when I take on a challenge like The World Race, I am serious about what I'm doing and will fight hard to get there. I appreciate everyone who's taken the time to hear my heart in what I'm doing and that it's not even remotely about me, but it's about sending myself and my squad overseas for 11 months to fight, save and help others just simply live their lives and live it to the fullest.
