satan (no he does NOT get to be capitalized. Ha! Take that!) has this tactic of slowly bringing discouragement into my life so that if I am not immersed in God’s Word I tend to overlook it until I am in a full blown panic. satan is sneaky like that and has been a busy little bee. I feel really silly sharing it with you because I really should’ve seen this coming. First I started getting nervous about bugs. I know, silly right? I started have dreams about large spiders and snakes getting into my tent and I didn’t know what to do!

Then I found out that girls typically gain weight on the race because of the extreme conditions we travel in. Changing diets, time changes, travel, and sleeping changes are really hard on our bodies and women’s bodies seem to never miss an opportunity to gain weight. Awesome. (That was sarcastic in case you missed it)

Then I sat down to set up a budget and I cannot see how my job can cover paying all of my expenses not to mention contribute to any of my WR expenses. I just spent all the money I had been saving on shots and a pack and I’m completely wiped out. This morning is when all of these worries came crashing down on me.

I decided it was time to get into the Word and spend some quality time with Jesus. I know that worrying is a sin and I also know that Jesus will provide for something He has called me to so I just needed a little refresher. All of that to say that today’s song is called Revive Me by Christy Nockels. This song was from the Passion Conference 2012 which is where I began to really feel convicted about spending a year serving Jesus. I hope this song will bring refreshment to you like it has done for me so many times. Enjoy.

You Revive Me

You revive me, You revive me Lord
And all my deserts are rivers of joy
You are the treasure I could not afford
So I’ll spend myself till I’m empty and poor
All for You, You revive me Lord

Lord I have seen Your goodness and I know the way You are
Give me eyes to see You in the dark
And Your face shines a glory that I only know in part
And there is still a longing, a longing in my heart

My soul, Lord, is thirsty, only You can satisfy
You’re the well that never will run dry
And I’ll praise You for the blessing, for calling me Your friend
And in Your name I’m lifting, I’m lifting up my hands
I’m aliveI’m alive
You breathe on me

You revive me
