When I was in 8th grade I fell in love with The Ohio State University. Mostly because of their football team. I dreamed of going there one day.
Of course when it was time I applied.
I didn’t get in.
I headed off to Michigan State University instead.
Then a year later it was time for my sister, Megan, to start applying to schools. She applied and got in to MSU, OSU, Syracuse, UB, FSU, Penn State, St. John’s, and Canisius.
She’s basically Rory Gilmore.
I remember when she told me she got in to MSU we talked about how cool it would be to be together, play hockey together, etc.
I get the call saying she got in to OSU. “Meg, you gotta go there!”
“You wouldn’t be mad?”
“Be mad? I didn’t go there so you have to!”
She ended up being a Buckeye.
And here she is about to graduate.
I can’t believe it. All those memories of getting ready for high school together keep flooding my mind. You blaring T Swift. Me hating it. Then somehow loving it. She is just so dang catchy. Those days were my favorite. Meg, do you remember how long it took us to get ready each morning? What on earth.
I am so incredibly proud of you. I couldn’t ask for a better sister or friend. I’m so happy you went there and I was able to live vicariously through you.
I can’t wait to see where God takes you. Let Him take you deeper.
I love you so much, my Egg!
Cheering for you today!
