I just wanted to post a quick blog to brag on my brothers!  I never formally introduced to you the members of my team (Team Judah), but let me just tell you, the brothers and sisters I am traveling with are amazing.  I am so privileged to be able to live and work with each of them in the next year and am so excited to see the ways God works through them.  Whenever I am anxious about leaving, first I remember that my very Best Friend will be there every step of the way and then I think about all of my teammates.  They are so wonderful!  I’m not going to take time to describe the details of their “wonderfulness” now, but if you have some time check out their blog sites – I’ve posted links to them under the “links” section on the left-hand side.

That being said, I thought I’d share a letter that my parents received in the mail this week from the men on my team:

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Adcock:

We are the men to whom you entrust your daughter for the next 11 months of The World Race.  This is a serious responsibility that we do not take lightly.  As such, we feel the need to introduce ourselves and open the lines of communication.  We long to provide you some sense of comfort and peace of mind as your beloved courageously embarks around the world.
Before we tell you a little bit about ourselves, we must first describe to you our admiration for your girl.  In just nine short days of training camp, each of the girls on Team Judah won our hearts, and filled them with a passionate love for our new sisters in Christ.  There is nothing we will not do for Elizabeth and her protection.
As for us, we are just a couple of kindred spirits – similar in many ways, beginning with our love for God and desire to change this world for His kingdom.  We are also each humbled by the many blessings God has poured out on our lives.  For more detailed information, we invite you to check out our individual bios on our World Race blog page.  We want you to feel free to contact either one of us at any time prior to, and during, our trip.
Finally, we now consider you family and our prayers will never leave you.  We know it’s hard to let your daughter go overseas for a year and we just want you to know she’s in good hands.  We’ll do everything we can to make sure Elizabeth is safe and encourage her daily in her walk with God.

With ALL our love,

Aaron Darlington & John Linkous

I am in good hands.  Rest in peace knowing the Almighty Creator holds me first as Protector, and has given responsibility to these mighty men to be His hands and feet!
