In the last 48 hours I have been praying about what to share with you all.  Do I share what we did over the last 3 weeks at Canaan and the many lessons we learned?  Do I share all about the different ministries going on at Canaan (clinic, school, medika mamba, GAP)?  Do I talk about a country that my heart is broken for and in love with?  Do I tell you about the beauty and presence of the Lord that radiates over a country that many view as broken and dark and are fearful to walk into?  Do I reiterate again the theme that God is pounding into my head and heart to love Him and love others?  I could write a lot about any one of those topics and more, but right now tonight where my heart is and has been since last night is this…

He is exalted, the King is exalted on high and I will praise Him.
He is exalted, forever exalted and I will praise His name.
For He is the Lord, forever His truth shall reign.
Heaven and earth rejoice in His holy name.
He is exalted, the King is exalted on high.

Psalm 145 says,
“I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever.
Every day I will praise you and extol your name forever and ever.
Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom.
One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts.  They will speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty, and I will meditate on your wonderful works.
They will tell of the power of your awesome works, and I will proclaim your great deeds.
They will celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness.
The Lord is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made.”

After 2 months of the World Race this is where my heart is.  Despite my issues and the fact that I fall on my face often, my heart is in a place of praise.  I praise Him for His greatness and the fact that He is far greater then I can even begin to fathom.  I praise Him for His faithfulness, His love, His grace, His mercy, His compassion, His peace and His power.  I praise Him that He is more than enough and everyday gives us exactly what we need.  I praise Him that He knows us better than we know ourselves and that He doesn’t treat us as our sins deserve.  Our sins are as far as the east is from the west, they were crucified on the cross…ALL of them, past, present and future.  I praise Him that in Him all darkness is exposed and brought to light.  I praise Him that every time I fall down, it is Him that picks me back up and gives me the strength to keep going.  I praise Him that He chooses ordinary, foolish, weak and messy people to do His work so that He receives all the glory.  I have nothing to boast about, but I have a big and mighty God to boast in.  That is what this blog is about…boasting in my Father.  My Father that is transforming lives daily in front of my face, including my own.   Have you boasted in the Father today?  Have you exalted Him and told someone about his awesome works?  Celebrate Him today, share about His faithfulness, and rejoice in the fact that He is madly in love with you.

Thank you for your prayers and support.  My friend Nick wrote a great blog summing up Canaan and some stuff going on there; click here to check it out.  You can also learn more about Canaan at http://www.canaanorphanage.org.   I hope to get a video up with pictures soon.  We will be debriefing in Santo Domingo for the next week, followed by a quick stop in LA and onto Pnomh Penh, Cambodia.  Team B.L.I.N.G. will be serving at New Life in Christ/CPCDO teaching English and loving on orphans.  This organization shares Canaan’s vision to take orphans and raise them in a solid Christian community.  Pray for opportunities to share the Gospel in both word and deed.  More to come from Asia!
