WELCOME!

This is part of the blog where I talk incessantly about myself.
LET’S GO
I’m Liz. That’s short for Elizabeth Louise Davy. I was supposed to be born in mid June, but I got impatient and decided to make my debut on April 30, 1993. On average, newborns are born at 7.5 pounds, (yeah, I looked that up on Yahoo Answers.) but I was only 4 pounds.
I was born and raised near Pensacola, FL.
Florida is weird. Here are a few things I grew up with:
- Living on a golf course
- Taking the FCAT
- Jorts (jean shorts)
- Camo flip-flops
- Going to the beach
- Eating Whataburger.
- Strange billboards on the interstate
- Sold out Jimmy Buffett Concerts
- Oil Spills (too soon?)
- Going to dinner at Chilis every Friday
I’m pretty sure at least 90% of the peopleofwalmart pictures were taken in Florida. You get the point.
Moving on…
I have a wonderful family full of supportive and encouraging people. We all love to play cards, share jokes, and spend time together. My mom and dad, John and Sara Davy, are two of my best friends. They are still committed to one another after 30 years of marriage and their love has inspired me to be who I am today. My brother and I are so blessed to have parents like these.
MY HOT PARENTS
Dad is a teddy bear. He is sensitive, kind-hearted, warm, energetic, and hardworking. Any stranger blessed enough to meet John Davy never walks away without a new companion. He is always optimistic, always corny, and always lovable. He is also very independent, wise, and has a deep-rooted faith larger than anyone I have ever known. Fun fact: He makes his living by growing trees. His vocation is his passion and I hope one day the same can be said of me.
#1 DAD
Mom is fiercely independent. She is a woman who knows her own mind and pushes others to be their best selves. She is too clever for her own good and a natural born leader. Whenever she sets her mind on something, she always follows through and doesn’t give up easily. Her confidence and wisdom is an inspiration to everyone who knows her. She is the person whose opinion I trust most in the whole world, because (fine, I admit it) she is almost always right. Plus, she’s a total babe.
PTL FOR GENETICS
My brother and I are so different from one another. Even at the age of 15, he is very committed to his opinions and he is aggressive in asserting them. He is a fighter, dutiful and persistent. The whole world is very black and white in the eyes of Emmett. I’ve never known someone more decisive. He is very sassy and very smart. He is also very devoted and has an innate sense of duty towards the people around him. He values competence and efficiency and has dad’s energy and mom’s persistence. I admire him and see endless potential for what he will accomplish.
WE LIKE WARM HUGS
I have some wonderful pals who I love very much.
They have been there for me through thick and thin and I’m blessed to have them.
I just graduated from Auburn University in December with my BS in Business Administration and my major was Human Resource Management. It was 3.5 of the best years of my life and I already miss it.
