Welcome to Albania and Month 3! This month is a fun little thing the World Race likes to call MAN-istry. Just for the month teams are rearranged so that all the men can be together and led by our male squad leader. That means for the next month I will get to experience what it is like to be on an all-girls team. I will remain with Shea and Kristen but we will join 4 other ladies who were on a team together as well.
First our team name…do you have any idea how little I enjoy coming up with new team names? It doesn’t sound like a hard process but getting 7 people to decide on a name is not an easy thing. So we got real original and looked up the word team in Albanian which happens to be Ekip so that is what we decided on.

Our fearless leader. She was actually the first person on the squad I met as I had the pleasure of sharing a hotel room with her the night before training camp. I am excited to be a part of a team with her and look forward to what I can learn from her and how she will challenge me to grow.

Oh Canada Baby! Canadians Unite! We are a little excited to be on a team together representing our “home and native land”. Also hello fellow Mennonite affiliation (makes it even cooler we are working at a Mennonite Mission House). At least now when I say things like “I wish I had a toque” or “where is the washroom” someone will understand and not look at me like I am crazy.

Probably the one I know the least but I am excited to change that. What I do know about Rachel is that when she does something she commits and goes all out. She knows how to have a good time and doesn’t worry if she looks silly. Definitely looking forward to getting to know this beautiful girl better!
