I already wrote this blog once today and wasn’t going to try again but then I had a bacon cheese burger and felt reguvinated so I figured I’d go for it. So-
It has been hard to blog without having my own computer. To be honest it has really just been the perfect excuse. Here’s a little recap of Thailand thus far:
Its all squad month! (That means every team on L squad is living together under one roof, it’s great!) Debrief started off great with a lot of time to process our time in Cambodia and how we were handling everything. It also started with a wonderful full squad dinner and show of cultural dances-
On on one of our days we spent the day riding motos and discovering waterfalls in the mountains of Chiang Mai –
We then started ministry, working in a cafe. A lot of dishes, sweeping and mopping, and cleaning windows. During this time though we get to know the wonderful women we are working beside and has been awesome to build relationships with them. On our first day off we spent the day traveling in Song Taos, riding elephants, playing in waterfalls, and rafting down a river on some bamboo-
Then last week, I had the best day EVER where I got to play with TIGERS! The baby one crawled into my lap and I really wanted to take it home! –
All these things inks were great and fun but the most amazing part of this month has been our host, Emmi. She is such a courageous person with such a giving heart. The way she shows Jesus through selflessly loving those that most people look down upon is an example to all. She is strong and her faith is powerful. Getting to see the way that God works through her and the organization that she has founded has been an honor!
