This month is an “Ask the Lord month meaning we Ask the
Lord which country in Eastern Europe to visit, which city, what ministry.
We were led to Prague, Czech Republic, a city consumed with
atheism and “fancy. Czech out the blog “fancy for my opinionated take on
Prague.
This story is about an Ask the Lord adventure to Praha 5.The adventure involves David and I.
It began with a game. Go to the Metro. Find a die. Toss the
die. The number it lands on will determine which platform and how many stops.
The funny thing is, God approved of our game. The metro
station had a small mall. The first store on the right was a board game store. Really God?!
Die. Check.
We enter the metro, 1-3 left platform 4-6 right platform.
THREE. We get on the left platform… then roll for when we get off… 5 stops.
We get off and start walking for a while. 1-3 keep walking,
4-6 get on a tram.
FIVE. We take the next tram in the direction we just walked
from… FIVE stops.
We stop at a bench and pray for direction. We prayed for the
day to be God’s and not to be
“LOOK WHAT AWESOME things we did today.”
We continued walking and riding trams… and kept passing this
odd building that was surrounded by loads of abandoned buildings and railroad
tracks.
The third time we saw the building, we had to Czech it out.
Meet the MeetFactory, a contemporary art exhibit where artists live and develop
their art:

We entered the exhibit on the bottom floor and saw an
interactive sculpture where you could leave a sticky note. We left our
God-mark, without contact information or a date, with faith that God would use
our messages to touch those who saw the artwork in the future.
Here was another piece of artwork that really touched us:

The text says: “Oh my beautiful Prague! I wish I could set my foot upon
your glorious roof!
God used this painting to express to us that he wants to
dwell in Prague but something is blocking Him from being welcomed. He has called us here to break down the walls.
This Ask the Lord/Casting lots game will be every Saturday! Stay tuned to where God brings us next weekend!!!
