I have a heart of justice. Big-time.
Ever since 5th grade I’ve been getting myself into trouble in this
arena. When a teacher was treating someone unfair, I opened my mouth and soon was issued a detention. This summer, I saw a man
shoving another man at an African bus stop and I
spoke up
. A teammate told me to hold my tongue (this was Africa after all).

I just cannot help it.

If asked my vision for the kingdom, it is Justice in God’s Name. My heart breaks for families living in garbage,
a young infant
forced to beg, boys sniffing solvent to curb hunger, gypsies stealing in Romania, gangsters with false identities,
girls sold for sex, the forgotten
that we walk past on a daily basis, the
least of these
.

But let me be real with you: It takes a GENERATION to step up
and say, “THESE THINGS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN!!! It takes a generation to change
things
. It takes a generation willing to give up a life of comfort, pick up
the TRUTH (which is the WORD OF GOD) and fight
until earth looks just like heaven.

“Learn to do what is right!

Seek Justice,

Encourage the oppressed.

Defend the cause of the
fatherless,

Plead the case of the
widow.

Isaiah 1:17

If we are going to be that chosen generation, we have
got to wake up!

So sleeping generation, I’m pleading with you… WAKE UP!

Stop underestimating the power of God
in you, the power of the Holy Spirit in you, the power of truth.
Stop underestimating the value of what God has given us to transform lives,
and the power of making a difference in ONE person’s life. We must remove our
hands and hearts from unworthy distractions and apply them to matters that make
a difference. When our grandchildren read history books about modern day
slavery ask, “Where were you? can we tell them that we woke up? Can we tell them that we spoke up? Can we tell
them that we showed up,
joined the oppressed and fought alongside for Justice in God’s Name?

Wake UP GENERATION!! Wake up to your destiny!
