When most people hear the missions in their church, or a missionary comes and speaks.. they “click off”.
“They are just asking for money”
“They are crazy”
“Who would put themselves in that much danger”
Well I am here to tell you to CLICK ON.
I am going on this race to take my place in God’s redemptive plan. In case you didn’t know, missions did not begin in Acts. Missions also did not begin when Jesus spoke the Great Commission (Matt 28:16-20). Missions began in Genesis, as God’s attempt to bring redemption to His people.
Also, think about it this way… Why are we on earth? Why are YOU on earth? How do we glorify God on Earth? Here are some .. prayer, missions, worship, fellowship. Now WHICH of these will end when we go to heaven??? Answer= missions. THAT is why we are on earth… “to make disciples of all nations”, and “to love the Lord your God with all your heart mind and soul and strength and to love your neighbor as yourself.”
We are not all to make disciples in New Zealand, Australia, Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand, Kenya, Uganda, Ukraine, and Romania, but we ARE … ALL CALLED to make disciples. Please help me on this journey around the world. I am simply taking my place in God’s global plan of redemption. This is what I have to do. This is what I am called to do.
