2017 WORLD RACE RECAP

This year I had an amazing opportunity to travel to 14 different countries with 50 other radical God loving individuals. I have shared a lot of laughter, tears and victories with them.
Each month we lived and experienced different cultures. We partnered with local churches and organizations and we come along side their mission and vision for their community to share the love of God in tangible ways. I am blessed to now have extended families and everlasting friendships.
This year has been a learning and growing experience. I had an opportunity to lead a team of six awesome ladies my first four months in Asia. I learned that leadership is all about serving others. I have grown in my dependency and intimacy with God. God’s faithful has been so evident throughout this year.
Living in “extreme” community is real work! Imagine living, sleeping, eating, and doing ministry with 7 to 14 other people 24/7. There a level of vulnerability, transparency, and accountability that is created and is needed when doing life together. I have grown to love and appreciate it.
Overall my heart has grown in missions for people to know Jesus, to understand how much God loves them, and to live a purposeful life in Him. Living with a mission-mindset is what you make it. You don’t have to go overseas to do missions yet there are some that are called. However, you can live with a mission mindset in your country and community by volunteering or creating opportunities for the needs that are lacking right in front of you. I dare you to try it-if you are not doing it already.
I am blessed to have awesome friends, family, and supporters who have encouraged and pushed out of my comfort zone. Lives have been impacted and changed because you supported the Great Commission – which is Go and make disciples in all the nations. Thank you for allowing me to be Jesus hands and feet.
