A work of art… Team Nessa joined artistic forces to create a masterpiece. The preschool walls will never be the same, now that Nessa has created a virtual national park on it.

From kudu to lion, the children who enter that room will join in a safari that starts with their imaginations. They’ll revel in a life size blue crane, and melt into the landscape of an evening walk with giraffes. They’ll travel villages and come upon a bull elephant. And watch lazy hippos wallow in a waterhole, while a white rhino finds green vegetation to nibble on.

All this can be found in the new and improved preschool. What a fun ministry!

So fun, that we decided to see the real thing. Thursday brought us on a real safari with Lynne, our tour guide. We entered Kruger National Park at sunrise and left at dusk. The whole time seeing creatures in their native environment, doing what they do in the wild.

Mostly eating.

And sitting around.

And resting.

And looking at us, as if we’re the ones in the zoo.

I sure didn’t want that day to end, but it was a great way to spend my birthday week!
