The following few blogs are primarily journal excerpts from our stay in Mozambique… here’s the reality of what we went through physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Yesterday we were supposed to leave Dondo at 9 am… we left at 4:30 pm (TIA, this is Africa). It was all a matter of trying to get fuel for a vehicle that would take all 22 of us to Morrumbala. And we’re still not there this morning. We’re hopping baxk on the flatbed we rode this far and getting on a ferry to cross the Zambizi river to finally reach our destination, Morrumbala.

Dinner last night consisted of bread dipped in peanut butter, an orange, and a mirage of snacks, Chock-its being among the favorites. And this morning our tent is stuffy because we didn’t stake the rain-fly in order to give any cross-ventilation. But the stuffiness isn’t to be outdone by the crowds of Mozambiquans standing just outside the tent trying to look in through the plastic window of the rain fly.

It’s 8 am now and we’ll be leaving in an hour for the ferry.Back into the cramped space on the packed flatbed. Perhaps putting on the Jungle Juice will make things slightly better. I’m ready to get there. I’m ready to give out food, I’m ready to pray for salvation and healing. God prepare my heart for what we’ll be witnessing. Make me bold and increase my faith to want to see you work. I know you want to heal, Lord, and I know you want people to come to know you.
