OK, so we just had a tech geek lecture on blogging. It’s Tuesday afternoon, January 2nd, and so
far it’s a blast. I am a little
overwhelmed (I’m sure you’ll hear this a lot from me, at least for a few
months.) We’ve been learning bunches
about emergencies, finances, and safety.
Please be pray for these on a continual basis… this will never go out
of style on your prayer lists!

Before I forget:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZACK (yesterday) and JAKE (tomorrow)

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY BEN & KATIE (today)

At the moment we have minimal internet access, and it only
gets worse from here. No news is good
news, right? We’re actually sending out
a few people to find access to post all of our blogs today.

On Thursday we’ll leave for Palenque, the start of the race. If you’re looking for it on a map it’s in Chiapas. So far, Mexico is prety cool… mostly
we’ve just been learning more about eachother, and more about the race. Scott’s sharing more about our team
members. All I can say is that, we’re
all, for the most part, really alike… most teams arer a mish-mash of
personalities, but ours is pretty consisent.

We probably won’t contact anyone by phone until we get a sim card for our phone. And I can’t check email because A.) we don’t
have interrnet, and B.) I can’t get into my email on my palm, because it’s not
recognizing my member name or password… I may be setting up a new emil that
I’ll only give to a few… they may end up forwarding to the intended
receivers. The best way to contact is on
the blog (as we’ll be in hostile areas sometimes).

I miss all of you at home.
Tell Sequoia we miss her too and give her a hug!
