I want to introduce you to someone. This is Jill.

Now, I want you to go get your wallet, count the cash and then donate it to this girl’s World Race fund.

No, I’m not joking.

See, you may not know it, but Jill is one of the most amazing people on the planet earth. I don’t say that because she is my team mate, who I love dearly. I don’t say it because Jill needs an additional $1,200 to remain on the World Race. I say it, because I have had the incredible privilege of walking alongside this woman and witnessing the spirit of God pour out of her and into a world saturated in darkness.

I could write a novel about the many reasons I am convinced that the Lord has called Jill to this journey.

I could tell you about how she sat with the Malaysian children in our 3-year-old class, praying over them silently and dreaming kingdom dreams for their lives.

I could tell you how she sought out a beautiful Filipino girl, who was rescued from sexual abuse, and loved her as her family never had.

I could tell you how she pursued and extended friendship to a teacher we worked with, when all I could see was a guarded woman who didn’t seem to like us.

I could tell you that, only days ago, she showed the love of Jesus to an elderly Vietnamese woman who hasn’t eaten in years due to stomach problems. I could describe the scene of Jill sitting with her, holding her hand and telling her just how greatly she is loved.

I could tell you that Jill has tirelessly prayed for me and fought alongside me as I pursue the Lord and His promises. That, in moments when I am tempted to give up, she is the voice calling me back—reminding me that the Lord is good and that He is always worth the struggle.

I could tell you that she lives a lifestyle of tears shed for the lost, forgotten and broken—that her eyes have been sanctified and shaped to see people as God sees them. I could tell you that she embodies love to those who have long been forgotten.

I could tell you all of that or I could just show you.

The truth is, God has called Jill to this great adventure and He will provide as only He can. He is faithful and He will come through. He always does. So, this blog is not a plea to save Jill’s race. Dear friends, it is an  invitation to be a part of what God is doing through her—to join in mobilizing Jill and, in doing so, unleashing the Spirit of God in a dark and broken world. There are so many, myself included, who have been fundamentally altered because of God living in and through her. I am confident that there are many more in the months ahead. Let’s go church! God isn’t done ministering through this girl!
