February Fundraising Report!
As of February 28, 2013, I have $4,006.20 in my account! Which puts my at 25.85% of my fundraising goal.
Here are some of my financial goals:
- Raise $2,000 in March
- Surpass my second deadline ($6,500–allowing me to depart for the Race in July) by the time I graduate this Spring.
- Meet my third deadling ($11,500–allowing me to stay at least six months in the field) by the time I depart in July!
Here are some fundraisers I am working on:
- I am still in the middle of my mason jar change collection! I don't plan on collecting the jars until the end of April or the begining of May. I have about 40 jars out and about with some of my closest friends and family, and on average, each jar holds about $30.00 in change.
- I am still working on receiving missionary scholarships from local churches.
- I am planning two adventure runs! These will be 5k runs in which there are fun little challenges along the way, representing some of the countries I am traveling to! The first one will be in Ashland, my college town, and the second one will be in Amherst, my hometown!
- My best friend of twelve years (Katie) and I are going to have a lemonade stand after we graduate and before she goes to off to graduate school. (Last time we had a lemonade stand in her driveway, we raised about $1.50 so this one is just for fun and spreading the knowledge of my trip!)
