Romans 12:12
This verse sums up my three main expectations for The World Race.
- Rejoice in Hope: God is AMAZING and He will be doing AMAZING things through my squad. To be blessed with this opportunity to go out into the world and make a difference is still mind blowing to me! I am confident His plans are great, and I know God has placed the World Race on my heart for a reason. I can’t say what He’s thinking by placing me on this journey, but I know He will not fail me. I want to act as an endlessly well of His love. I want to bring hope to those who need it. I want to let everyone know the good news of Jesus, and I want to inspire people to accept the Lord as their savior.
- Be Patient in Tribulation: This journey will not be easy, but I am ready for the brokenness that is to come. In fact, I need God to break me of my old self to build me more in His image. I need Him to push me to my limits to pull me into Him. I need to be challenged, and I want to appreciate every minute of it.
- Be Constant in Prayer: The World Race would nothing if not focused on God. He has put me on this path to be His disciple. He needs to be who I turn to first in all situations. Even when I am at my lowest point, I never want to turn my back to Him. I want to run to Him, and feel the comfort of His embrace.
With this in mind, I believe that I can work best for God and He can work best within me.
With faithful love,
Lindsey
