I spent my childhood in a small town full of hunters, miners and ranchers in the Rocky Mountains. From a young age, deep down I knew that there was something more but it took me until my college years to begin to match what I knew in my head with my heart. God awakened in me a new person who has found a passion and zest for living life.
I want to live an all-out, crazy, beautifully terrifying life that brings glory to God. I don’t know yet what the details are or where I’ll end up but I have faith that the Lord will lead me one baby step at a time. It’s kind of like driving in morning fog, when you can only see a few feet in front of you but you keep driving anyway because you trust that the road continues.
My hope for this blog is that it will be a place where I can share stories of love, stories of heartbreak, and the times that God changes me. My hope isn’t that my writing would be perfect or even that I would always have the right words, but that it would be a place where I can somehow express the glory of the Lord and the beauty of his creation. I hope that these words will resonate with something deep inside and remind you of the freshness and strength of the Lords love.
It’s an honor and a blessing to be preparing for the WR, a chance to experience God in a way that I might not if I stayed home. But I also believe that the King of glory can work in anyone, anywhere and I hope that wherever you are right now you’ll respond to God’s heart and desire for more of you.
