There once was a girl whose grave was dug at the mere age of one. The doctors had told her parents that there was nothing that could be done and to move forward in preparing her funeral.
Miraculously, the girl lived, but not without some serious complications. As the doctors tried to save this baby's life, they unintentionally caused brain damage that would end up resulting in years of confusion and suffering.
The girl grew up being teased and tormented for her differences. She could not read or write or attend school as normal.
One day, a group of Swedish missionaries came to visit her and asked her if she had a prayer request. Without fear she said that she hoped to go to Bible College and would love prayer for that. But of course, her lack of ability to read and write caused her family to doubt her.
Anisa is now a Bible College graduate. She is a wife, and she is a mother to a newborn baby named Benjamin. And two weeks ago I got to meet her.
Anisa is a fighter. She is a bold woman of God who is not afraid to chase after her dreams. She is not distracted or consumed by what others may think of her. And she is such an inspiration to me.
God bless you, Anisa. Thank you for touching my heart.
