I lured you in with a catchy title and
the good news is: this is an important blog to read. It is not about
the experience I am having in Uganda, or the amazing things God is
teaching me in the way most of my blogs are, but this time it is a
plea to keep me doing the things I am doing and keep experiencing the
things God has for me on the World Race. I am a little over 2 weeks
away from missing my first fundraising goal. This is something I knew
could happen, but I am believing that the funds will come in before
the email telling me they haven’t. I want to take a second to thank
all of my current supporters, I amazed and humbled to say that I have
raised over $9,700. I am floored at how God has provided already. I
am also really blessed by those wonderful monthly givers who have so
faithfully kept me on the race and bless me each month with a gift
that I thank god for each month. I have been in the process of
raising support for a year now, and I am not about to give up, so
here it is my official plea: I need people to donate once again. I
know things are hard in the States right now, that the economy is
putting the pressure on every one of your wallets BUT IF:
-
All of my wonderful one time
supporters from last spring could give half of what they could
afford to give last year I would meet my goal. -
15 more people would support me on
a monthly basis of $20 I would be almost there. -
All of my facebook friends just
donated $10 I would meet the goal. -
A rich person wanted to just drop
a few grand for tax purposes, that works too:)
goal put forth by AIM. I have wonderful monthly supporters who have
committed over $2,000 of those dollars. I am $5,500 from being fully
supported. These numbers are pocket change for God. I rejoice in the
fact that I know these funds will come in. I am praying for all of my
supporters and truly hope God blesses you ten times over for how you
have blessed me.
