**I wrote this last week during debrief**

Our view from Moffat Bible College in Kijabe, Kenya

It is 10:30 and Night Watch is just beginning. It is just
one part of debrief, that makes it what it is. I want to share with all of you
more about debrief and the role it plays in the World Race. To start off,
we  pretty much always have the same
schedule (which is rare the rest of the month):

7                      personal
devotion/ exercise time

8                      breakfast

9                      morning
meeting

10:30               break

12                    lunch

afternoon          team
debriefs with coaches, free time, randomness

6                      dinner

7:30                 evening
meeting

Each debrief our coaches and/or other AIM leadership fly in
to speak to us and help us to process the last month, prepare for the coming
month and fill us back up so we are ready to serve. This has been one of the
most challenging and sweetest times of the race. They are always introducing
new ideas, new ways to think about God and who we are in Him. He is a loving
Father, a Merciful Ruler and His plans for us are sweet.

We spend a generous amount of time at each meeting praying
in the Spirit, something I was introduced to at training camp in Georgia this
summer. Tongues. Crazy. This is something I’ve struggled with on some levels,
but I am starting to understand. The time we spend as a squad when certain
members are lifting up the entire squad is really great. We share our hearts
with each other and speak out things that scare us,that challenge us to pursue
God in greater ways, and to bring forth His Kingdom.

One night during debrief we do a night watch, when the squad
stays awake throughout the night praying about the ministries we have in the
coming month. Not everyone is there all night, and not everyone feels called to
participate, but there is always some sort of group praying and worshiping all
night.

Debrief is basically a time of challenge and refreshment,
which indeed contradict each other, but in the best way possible. Know your
prayers are very appreciated during debrief, even though we are not in ministry
technically, we are being ministered too and God does amazing things.
