This is a GK Chesterton Quote from Sunday’s sermon at my church, I love how it reframes the Christian life and how we are to live…

“I found that while it (the Law and standards of God) had
established a rule and order, the chief aim of that order was to give
room for good things to run wild.â€

So often people see Christians as having a list of DO NOTs, all these things we are not allowed to do, but by not doing those things (I’ll make a note here that there are fewer DO NOTs than the stereotype assumes), we are able to let the good things run wild. That is what this trip will allow room for, the good things of God to flourish and spread among His people. I am so excited to live an unashamed life standing on rooftops singing His praises, letting the goodness of Him run wild through the world (this starts here and now too). We are His tools, and through us He will bless all the families of the world; how much better for us to allow Him to stir in us a passion for the extreme, an untiring love for Him that spills out of us and onto the people in the world who need it most.

Lord, let me run wild with the good things you have placed in me. Let the October and July teams be growing more passionate for you as we prepare for this adventure you have called us to. And Lord be with the current racers as they interact with people in Africa and Latin America, bless their conversations and relationships, Lord let them run wild with your love, proclaiming it with your grace and the faith of the saints.         Amen
