When I came into the ministry we are doing this month I was
so into it because all I could think about was how these women were in “slavery”,
and I was completely wrecked for them. I was going to break the chains of their
bondage, lead them to Christ, and give them freedom. But the more I talk to my
new team and hear stories from friends and family back home I realize so many
are living in slavery, just like these women.

When I hear people say they don’t want anything to do with
God because He is a “slave driver” and he gives you all these rules, I am
completely shocked. They say He isn’t freedom and they want to do “their own
thing”, and to “live the way they want to live”. It literally blows my mind,
because the God of the universe nicknamed himself “Freedom”.

Dude people say they act how they want, do drugs, have sex,
get drunk, lie, steal, and deny Christ, all because they want “FREEDOM”. But I just
want to point out that all of those things are SLAVERY! The definition of

                Slavery:

·
-the state of being a slave

·
-the practice or system of owning slaves

·
-a condition compared to that of a slave in
respect of exhausting labor or restricted freedom

·
-excessive dependence on or devotion to
something (slavery to a substance)

Don’t all of these things hold
you as a slave?

                Slave:

·
-a person who is the legal property of another
and is forced to obey them

·
-a person who is excessively dependent upon or
controlled by something

You can’t just quit drugs when
you want, lustful thoughts consume your mind, lying traps you in a vicious cycle,
material things consume your money, and they all consume your time.

Our God is a god of love,
forgiveness, mercy, and grace. He has given us the CHOICE to accept his son as
our savior. The Choice!!! He allows us the “freedom” to come to him or leave
him as we please. And when we choose him, he will release us of all of those “slaveries”.
He gives us an unexplainable joy, a purpose in life, and the freedom to not “NEED”
anything on this planet! How insane is that? We need nothing. We have no fears,
and we love everyone! How many “slaves” can say they have joy, peace, no fear,
and an unexplainable love for all?

Satan has told us this lie that
we need to REBEL, to be free of authority, but yet every time we supposedly
rebel, Satan latches one more chain to us. He can control your
thoughts/money/time with all of these “freedoms” that take away our ability to
live and love. That is slavery! And trust me if anyone can say they are slavery
it’s me, because I have been there.

Dude, but I am declaring right
now that I am a REBEL. A true Rebel! To be a real rebel, in a sense, you have
to put your middle finger to Satan and say I will “freely” worship a God who
loves me and lets me come and go as I please! But the love and gifts I receive from
Him are so great I don’t actually want to leave. A rebel denies whatever is
forceful and controlling. As a rebel, I will deny whatever my fleshly body says
it wants and as a rebellious soul it will take over and say I’m going to do
what I WANT and will not be told by FLESH, what I need! Because I need nothing
that this world can offer and if I die, I die with victory because I have
ultimately rebelled against the flesh and Satan.

In Christ you have not received a
spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of
adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba, Father!” The Spirit Himself
testifies with our spirit that we are children of God. ~*~Romans 8:15-16~*~

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and
where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Freedom. ~*~2 Cor 3:17
