The most I have ever fundraised was $15,500 for the World Race. And I thought that was a daunting task.

And then I took the job as the Director of Development for Sarah’s Covenant Homes… our budget for the year is $900,000. My job includes helping raise $900,000!

When I first heard that number, part of me wanted to pass out, or run to a corner and hide. No, the responsibility does not rest entirely rest on me, but it is a big part of of my job. Me, the person who has never done development or fundraising as a job.

And on top of that, I am fundraising my own salary (and struggling hardcore).

The truth is, this job scares me.

I want to be like David, crying out to God asking where he is. How is the money going to be raised? How am I going to be funded? What is going to happen?

But if I am going to be like David, I must then reflect on the past. And remind myself that it’s not about my strength… because I have none. I am weak.

But my God is full of Strength. And He is good.

HE provided $15,500 for me to go on the World Race. HE provided $2,500 for me to return to India right after the race. HE provided the money I needed for CGA. And HE has been providing for Sarah’s Covenant Homes for 6 years, ever since it first began in 2008.

I know God will provide. And he will provide through his Body. His people.

I need help. I need people who want to share about Sarah’s Covenant Homes with their church, their small group, their friends, neighbors and families. Will you help me spread the word?

And for those who are called, will you help me personally? Will you support me?
