"We are here, we are here, we are here!" We are in Uganda! We have been at our ministry location for almost a week and I am loving it!
We arrived at Celebrate Jesus church last Saturday and what a wonderful welcome we had. That first night, I got to pass a soccer ball around with the neighborhood kids and watch the children's church choir practice.
Ugandan ministry has been filled with prayer walks and house visits, front porch ministry (all the kids love to play in our front yard), and soccer! I bought a soccer ball the other yesterday and today I am starting a 2-3 day per week soccer practice for the girls of the village. We are also doing some manual labor, including hoeing fields and planting trees.
Two highlights from prayer ministry were seeing a woman healed of neck and back pain and naming a baby! I got to name a two day old baby- and of course, I suggested the name Abigail (my favorite name- it means joy of the father).
