This song, "Come and Journey With Me" is a song know to all Mater Dei Students who have gone on a "Walk In Faith" song. Every year, it serves as a theme song of sorts for the retreat.
Today, in order to continue to prepare my heart for this journey ahead, I went to see a christian counselor. In fact, I am going to cram four sessions in one week. I don't expect all my problems to be solved, but I thought it would be good to have some tools to bring a long with me on my journey. On my drive on home from my first session, this song came back to me and I feel like it is a song God has for me in this season.
On the race, God is inviting to the dance. He is asking me to bring all that I am. He desires for me to enjoy His presence and to soak it all in. For an entire year, I am called to just love, just love, and walk in community with others. Yes, He is asking me to leave the life I know behind, to have an open mind. He wants me to give my ALL. It may seem like He is asking a lot.
But Abba is asking me to journey with Him! My Heavenly Father, the God of the Universe, wants to, desires to have a relationship with me! I get to go to the song/dance. Sounds like a party! I know it won't all be easy, but gosh it's going to be so good!
In 6 days, I fly to DC. And on July 5th, my squad and I fly to India to begin the journey God has invited on.
