Here is the sign for the church where we lived and served.
Behind the sign is a Maze corn field. There were LOTS of Maze corn fields where we were..

I love having my own space in my tent….I never thought I would value that but I do!! The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the roosters with their incessant crowing that started at 2:30am. Every morning. Near my tent.

Here is the clothes washing station. The woman who served the church served us by washing the majority of our clothes. It was a HUGE BLESSING. Without them I would be walking around with more stains than their already are on my clothes. 🙂

Some of the amazing women of Christ the King Church next to the kitchen.

More of the kitchen. We ate very well this month!

Now on to where I make myself look pretty…..well…kinda….
Here was my shower for the month….
I think I have mastered the art of bucket showers. You grab the water from the well, carry it back to the shower trying not to spill dirt and water all over you,
pour 1/4 or 1/2 a bucket full and go at it. Sud…sud…sud…rinse….rinse..rinse…
You get the point.
And on to the infamous squatty potty. Now I do have to say that I didn’t mind the squatty but I did not enjoy the bats that flew around in there at night. I think Katie Cartwright (teammate) wrote an entire blog about it…enough said…

And last but not least a picture of the night sky in Mpeketoni…
Actually, I don’t have a camera that can do that but I wish I did. It was like being in a planetarium every night. The stars were endless!!
Alright friends…..this is all for now…I feel blessed just being able to post these pictures due to the internet connection.
I hope you enjoyed seeing how I was blessed to live life for the last month!!
The people at Christ the King Church are amazing!
They were so hospitable and taught me what it truly means to be a servant of God.
