AND THEN……
So the last blog I posted about the monks coming to our English class was to explain that God answered our prayers by bringing monks to our English class.
In my mind this was a perfect opportunity to share the Gospel with them.
How would that even happen?
God, can you make that happen?
Will you give us an opportunity to share Jesus with them?
So it was the 2nd to last English class on Tuesday, May 18th and it was POURING rain. We didn’t think anyone would show up to class which bummed us out until our Pastor received a phone call from the monks. They wanted to come and they needed a ride! So our pastor picked them up.
When they arrived, our pastor let us know that the monks mentioned that they wanted to learn English by reading a bible story.
Coincidence? I think not! It was an answer to prayer!
Seriously, God? You are going to give us 3 monks to share the Gospel with?
It was Megan, Katie, Kristi and Glenalyn’s night to teach so they decided to teach the parable of the Prodigal Son from Luke.
It’s a perfect parable about God’s never ending love.
It’s about compassion.
It’s about a RELATIONSHIP!
It’s about acceptance.
It’s about true love from a God that IS love.
They asked questions. They listened.
They READ THE BIBLE on there own!!
God’s word always amazes me.
Luke 15: 31 And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours’.
Megan teaching the monks!
I have no idea what they took away from that night but my hope is that God’s words struck a cord deep down in their soul.
My prayers are they they would know God’s love is for them. That God is the Truth worth living for.
We only had 3 people in class that night….Dang, Vigit and Jack. We were able to share God’s love and His word in an intimate setting due to their desire to read the bible.
God is moving!
He is so faithful it blows my mind!
Please join me in prayer for Dang, Vigit and Jack.
