I woke up to the early sun rise and ate a quick bowel of cereal for breakfast.

Then I went to the table where I had left the drawing I’d been working on to finish it.  I added roses to the bottom left corner and to upper right corner of the large page with a blue background behind it.  The roses had a few thorns on it with many leaves.  In the middle of the paper was the name of the girl who’d asked for the drawing. Behind her name I added a heart and made it bright like the sun/Son (Jesus). The girl’s name was outlined in purple.

My team’s plans were leave at 12:30pm to head for the bus station.  I just barely finished before we left and I had only 10 minutes for lunch.

Before we left, I had the opportunity to sit down with Gracie and she explained to me the meaning of the artwork that represents her ministry.  It is a picture of a heart that has a few branches of thorns going around it with a drop of blood.  She told me that the thorns represent the suffering of Christ and also the suffering of her girls. The drop of blood represents Christ blood that was shed for us, and with the heart you can kind of see His face in the picture.  All together, the art work looks like Christ wearing the crown of thorns bleeding.

Then I began to tell her about the drawing I made for one of her girl’s.  It went something like this…..the beautiful roses are representing her. She is a beautiful rose that has had experienced suffering that is now going through healing and is birthing new life.  Jesus’ love is shining over her and His mercies are new every morning.  As she becomes a new creation in Him, His righteousness is ever present on her.

When I went to say my goodbyes, the girl that I did the drawing for thanked me several times.  Right before pulling out, someone saw that she was trying to hang it up in her room.

When we arrived at our bus station, we had to wait 30 minutes before getting on our bus, and Gracie again pointed out to us two “businesses” that were involved in sex trafficking.

In the end, when we receive Jesus Christ into our hearts, He is the one who makes us a new creation. He is the one that sees us as righteous as we receive His salvation for our lives.
