Okay, so like I said previously we are working with Campus Crusade and we are loving it! Our first few days of ministry have been challenging, the language barrier has been interesting but we are finding that quite a few of the students here speak English and are very curious about us because we are Americadian (American and Canadian, obvs). Yesterday we sat outside in the “quad” while Amanda, Olivia, and Allison played guitar and sang worship music while the rest of us played cards and enjoyed the sunshine. This was a great way to meet students, and quite a few of them came over and chatted with us. Our team really felt like we were finally doing what this month is about, building relationships and telling people about the Gospel.
Over the past couple days we have helped pass out CRU magazines, talked with students, gone to a leadership prayer meeting, and spent lots of time with our teammates. To be honest we are still trying to figure out how to work as a team and because our ministry schedule is fairly open a lot of self-motivation is involved. This has required our team to sort of make ministry opportunities happen instead of waiting for things to be planned for us. So a couple nights ago during our team time we decided that we wanted to be more proactive about going out and meeting people, so we brainstormed and came up with our “Christians in the Courtyard” idea, cheesy but so far its working well.

We also decided that we wanted to spend more time together as a team, so we now have team time shower hour where all seven of us shower (in different stalls, of course) at the same time. It’s great fun.
This morning Amanda and I had coffee with one of the students here, Lorna, and we chatted about all kinds of things, including sharing our testimonies and reading Scripture together. She is so curious and ready with questions and thoughts about Christianity. We had a really great morning and I can’t wait to be able to share more about my faith with her. She asked about our favorite books in the Bible, Philippians for me, and then I read to her about being a child of God, a loved daughter of the King and so we read Romans 8. We talked about being removed from our past sins and being renewed in Christ. Such a great day!
P.S. We went to some castle ruins a couple days ago and finally took some sweet team pics! Okay so the second one is just me, but I like it. So there it is. Thanks for reading!
