Dear Reader,

Hi. I’m Lindsay. I am passionate about many things, but in order to get acquainted here is a list of things that fill my love bucket to the brim…

I love people.

My family is my greatest blessing. My friends are the gems of the earth.

I am a natural extrovert. Community is God’s greatest design. I LOVE people.

The crazier, the better.

I love home.

Omaha, Nebraska AKA “Homaha” or “The Bellybutton.” #BornRedAndCornFed

Contrary to popular belief I didn’t grow up in a cornfield, but I do love a nice steak. Omaha continues to grow, and I thoroughly enjoy its weirdness. As much as I love my city, the mountains and coast are what keep me traveling.

GO BIG RED.

I love outside.

I don’t think I need to elaborate here.

I love reading.

My favorite book of all time is and always will be “The Great Divorce” by C.S. Lewis. #bye

Other favorite authors include, but are not limited to: Jen Hatmaker (so much love), Mindy Kaling, Jefferson Bethke, Suzanne Collins, Glennon Doyle Melton, Hannah Brencher, Francine Rivers, Veronica Roth, Joyce Meyer, Roald Dahl, so on and so forth.

I love learning.

After 7 years of college (Yes. 7. I major changed and part-timed. Don’t judge, just love me.) I have learned that I secretly love learning. If there’s one major take away from my college education, it’s that I’ve learned to be a reflective individual. Like, I’m talking reflecting ON my reflecting. Metacognition style.

I have a degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Spanish sprinkled in the mix. I can stammer my way through a muddled conversation, so I’m basically bilingual.

I love teaching.

Teaching is one of the most challenging, yet rewarding professions out there. I love kids. They are great. But teaching a future generation is no easy task. The smiles, love, and aha moments are a few reasons why I love what I do. Every once in a while it occurs to me that I have the greatest opportunity to make an impact, and that is truly the most rewarding of all. Everyone, go hug a teacher!

Other things among which I have love for are: thrifting, coffee drinking, running, hiking, singing, drawing, lettering, and the list continues.

Finally, I love Jesus.

Best for last. My Savior, my Friend. He continues to surpass my expectations, prove His faithfulness and shower me with so much grace and mercy my little heart could explode. He is my Beginning and my End. He is my Standard. My greatest desire is to live a life that makes Him proud.

Welcome.
