In fact, I got on a bus heading in the opposite direction of
the rest of the squad. No, I’m not
heading home. I’m heading back to Phnom Penh!!!
My team and I said our goodbyes to all the kids in the
orphanage on Friday and headed up to Siem Reap on Saturday morning with the
rest of the group. After our short visit
there the entire squad was suppose to go to Thailand, but four of us (from
different teams) decided that our work in Phnom Penh was not finished. There were still a few more things we wanted
to accomplish at the orphanage before moving on to Thailand, and we could not ignore
the tugging on our hearts. So, after
much prayer and discussion we decided that it would be best to spend two more
weeks here in Cambodia
before joining our teams in Thailand.
I’ll share more of my heart about why I’m staying and what I
hope to accomplish soon. Please just
pray for our extra time with the children, especially the older children. We really want to leave them with hope!
