Our last day in Nicaragua was filled with a lot of emotions.  We ended up going to the beach to celebrate Marlynn’s and my birthday… and I couldn’t have asked for a better day!  It was fun to get the kids out of their small little town for a while, and it was even better to have an opportunity to be a part of Marlynn’s baptism before we left.  Here are some pictures to help describe the day…

After lunch, we had some birthday cake!  I guess the Nicaraguan tradition is cracking eggs over the head of whose ever birthday it is…. Lisa enjoyed this a little too much!  Thanks Lisa!… you’re next!

Marylnn and I were covered in eggs and birthday cake by the end of lunch.  Don’t worry, we took others down with us!

Again, I couldn’t have asked for a better day!  Well, I guess it would have been better if we didn’t have to say goodbye!
