I am sitting in the front office of our fabulous, quaint hostel…the weather is a sunny 68 degrees…the beds are comfortable…the atmostphere safe…GOD IS AWESOME!!!!
We arrived yesterday in Antigua, Guatemala and so far it's been a beautiful blessing to be here! We made a small tour of the city and it's huge market that reminds me of an outdoor SUPER WALMART…ha!
My team is adjusting well and can't wait to get started on our ministries this month in a hospital, a nursing home, and a high school! I'm excited to learn how to bless older people with entertainment & love, to pray over those suffering in the hospital, and to teach students who maybe haven't heard about Jesus Christ!
GOD MOMENT…we met a lady named Sara last night. She runs a fruit stand where we bought some super ripe and juicy mango, among other fruits. We asked her about eating a hot meal and she guided us through the market maze to her sister's restaurant. We were blessed with a warm welcome from her family, delicious food, and we prayed with Sara, who is a Christian! It was amazing…a "random", awesome GOD MOMENT!
This month is going to stretch me in that it's an adjustment to live in a community setting: relying on others, planning meals, and scheduling time with seven (sometimes more) people. So far, though, I have to say that I love it! I feel so blessed with my team! I feel that God has placed me right in the middle of a group of people who will lift me up and help me grow!
So this is the beginning…the start to this incredible journey. I will post pictures soon and have many more stories to tell. Please continue to pray for my team and team Raja as we learn to live in community and prepare our hearts for the ministries to come.
GOD BLESS! 🙂
