When choosing my title for this blog, I chose VOICE for a very specific purpose. One of

the definitions of voice as seen in Websters is
influential power, hence the power of voice. Our voice, more than simple words and ideas, can be used to rally people together for good and, as we have seen in history, for evil purposes.
Satan used His persuasive voice in the garden to tempt Eve. Hitler or Mao seemed to tear down whole countries for years by the power gained through their voice. It makes me wonder, what is my voice being used for?
I recently received an e-mail from one of my dear friends in Ukraine. i am sure many of you remember the stories of two girls in particular, Vika and Tanya. Vika is the beautiful orphan girl I fell in love

with and was inspired by her life. She had dreams of becoming a nanny and photographer, but instead she was dished out the sole opportunity to become a cook for a mass institution or hair stylist. She never complained the least but when seeing her talents, hearing about her hopes and dreams and knowing the resources available in this world, I knew right then and there I had to be her voice!

This brings me to my other amazing friend from Ukraine, Tanya. Tanya is one of those stunning women who between her smile and incredible heart, causes you to be drawn into her presence. She, too, has hopes and dreams such as finding that Mr. Right, loving her family and students and keeping a positive outlook on life despite the challenges that come with living in a developing economy. And this is where my two girls lives are about to intersect.
This Saturday Tanya is going to meet Vika for the first time at the orphanage. Tanya, being an English teacher and graduate from university, has told me she would help Vika find out her dreams of entering a university. I have heard supporters (many of you reading this blog right now) ready and willing to back her education. Once again, the power of voice.
It made me realize while reading my e-mails how blessed I am to have a voice to speak out

the injustices going on this world. Take my other friend, Da, the girl I met in the bar. I found out this week she met a man who wants to buy
her monthly for $150. Can you imagine, feeling that you are worth that little? Yet SO many women feel this way around the world…the worst part is, they have not yet realized their is a choice.
All this to say that God has given me a huge vision for my time here at G42. I always knew I wanted to connect people, lead short term missions and start a business, but most of all, my passion is to help women find their voice.
I am going to continue to blog week after week here in Spain as I work on developing a plan to help women like Vika, Tanya and Da. I want to empower them through education, business and faith to a kind of success that fills them to overflow onto others.
I am thankful for you, my friends, family and amazing supporters who allow my voice to matter! Your partnership with me both at G42 and in future endeavors will go towards transforming lives. It is starting already!
Prayer Requests:
Please be praying for Vika and Tanya as they meet this Saturday for the first time, for a friendship to develop and the necessary steps to occur to help Vika start her college process. Pray for Da to dream bigger than a bar and with the help of friends and my future business plan, start a life of her own, completely independent of men.
Dream List:
-A Mac Book Pro with multimedia software programs (enabling me to create DVD’s, websites, photo editing for presentations and catalogues and movies) for my business plan to help these women thrive.
-Plane tickets to Thailand for Practicum to work on business plans
Thank you for hearing my voice, seeing my heart and believing in the dreams He has for my life. I will continue to update you as to our support needs on the My Links to the left of the blog page.
With a Heart of Thankfulness!
