Hello!
Welcome to my blog! I would like to thank you for reading this post on my blog because by doing so, you are supporting my journey by keeping up with what I am doing regarding the World Race. For those who follow me on any of my social media, you may have some context as to what the World Race is. However, I have only posted about my acceptance, not necessarily the details of it all. The World Race Gap year missionary program is a program that has been providing aide to the needs of struggling communities all over the world since 1989. I am proud to say that I am one of these missionaries, and I have chosen the route that travels to Romania, Ukraine, Chile, Peru, and India.
The issues within each country are not all alike, rather they are all incredibly unique. Romania is currently recovering from being in an impoverished state, while Ukraine is struggling with the high population of orphans and widows. Chile is currently a very religiously divided country that has struggles with corruption, and Peru deals with extreme poverty and class inequality. Lastly, the country of India is still utilizing the caste system, where in which a multitude of people have limited opportunities to succeed or even properly live in the densely populated country.
Upon researching the needs of each country, I realized how much my heart ached for those who were living in those types of environments. Living where I do, and having the blessings that I do, I found, blinds me to the fact that not all who live in this world are as blessed as I am. Even if you have been exposed to the face of poverty, it is very easy to forget about the opportunity that you have. So, I wanted nothing more than to help the people of each country as much as I possibly could, thus my journey has begun.
Over the coming weeks and months, I would love to develop a close relationship with you so that you can join me in this wonderful journey with Christ. With a trip such as this, comes fundraising.
