We landed in Dublin, Ireland excited and a bit anxious. It’s
always a ton of fun to be able to hang out with my entire squad, my family. A
new adventure, literally! We got word a couple of days before leaving that our
contact fell through in Coleraine, Northern Ireland and that we would need to
hang out in Dublin for awhile until we found a place to stay…
We started the month getting to know Team Shofar, the team
we would be working with. When we arrived in Dublin we still did not have a
place to go or a place to do ministry. We sat down one morning and prayed that
God lead us to what we were going to do this month. A few emails and calls went out to local
churches, organizations, campgrounds, hostels in Dublin and Belfast. We really
felt that God was taking us to Belfast, Northern Ireland. We all went out to see the city and buy a
couple of gear things we were going to need for the trip. While there I found out we had a response!! A teammates brother’s , friends roommate lived
and worked in ministry in Belfast!!!! It was a miracle that we had a response
so quickly and they were offering us free housing!
We left the next morning and
Daniel (teammates brother’s etc…) met with us at the bus station. When we
arrived at where we were staying, we were astounded! It was this huge cathedral
church that we nicked named the castle. It was wwwaayyyy more than we could
have imagined asking God for. We arrived to be served a tasty hot lunch
(lasagna , Irish bread, salad, and tea). Daniel and Rev. Derek spoke to us
about the church and the people of Belfast. There really aren’t any words to describe how amazingly God provided for
us this month, but one thing for sure is I am eagerly anticipating ATL months
in Africa and Asia. God more than supplies.
